At Levi9, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. That’s why we are proud to announce our latest initiative in Iași: the installation of two modern bicycle repair stations in the Tudor Vladimirescu student campus.
The project, launched under the slogan “Te Punem în Mișcare!” (“Get Back on Track!”), is the result of a partnership between Levi9 Technology Services, the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI), and BIXFIX. Together, we set out to improve the campus infrastructure, encourage sustainable transport, and promote a healthier, more active lifestyle for students and the local community.

Supporting a student's quality of life in Campus
The two stations, provided by Levi9, are strategically placed in accessible points within the campus, on spaces offered by TUIASI. Each station is equipped with tools for basic repairs, with BIXFIX providing expertise and ongoing maintenance support.
For TUIASI, this project aligns with their broader Healthy Campus vision, which combines academic excellence with physical well-being, sustainability, and community balance. For us at Levi9, it’s a natural extension of what we stand for: combining innovation with impact and supporting the people around us.

And BIXFIX is following it’s vision as a local initiative dedicated to promoting urban cycling and offering practical solutions for bicycle maintenance. Through mobile workshops and repair points, BIXFIX supports the cycling community in Iași.

Why we do it
“I strongly believe in the benefits cycling brings to the community, which is why we are deeply committed to supporting such projects. This is our way of giving back to the community, offering practical support to students, and encouraging a more active lifestyle – contributing to a dynamic and sustainable campus for all of us.”
— Anca Gafițeanu, Delivery Centre Director, Levi9 Technology Services
Beyond the technical support, the partnership also includes a series of educational initiatives. BIXFIX will periodically organize workshops and awareness campaigns about sustainable transportation, aimed at students. TUIASI will actively promote the project through its social channels, highlighting the involvement of all partners.
“For our university, it is essential to implement measures that encourage a healthy lifestyle, given that more and more young people lead a sedentary life. We want to promote walking, cycling, and the use of public transport not only to reduce traffic but also to encourage students to be more physically active. We strongly believe that Mens sana in corpore sano is not just a saying, but a principle we should all live by.
Within the Ingenium alliance, of which our university is part, we are discussing the concept of a Healthy Campus with our partners – a vision that goes beyond physical facilities to create an environment that supports both academic life and personal health, encouraging intellectual activities alongside physical activity and social engagement through extracurricular initiatives.”
— Prof. Dr. Eng. Dan Cașcaval, Rector of Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași
“Our mission is to make cycling more accessible and worry-free for everyone. A minor technical issue should never stand in the way. Through this project, we not only offer practical help to cyclists in the campus, but we also hope to inspire more young people to choose this mode of transport.”
— Oana Constantin, Coordinator, BIXFIX
Through this project, we want to make cycling in Iași more accessible and less of a worry. A small technical issue should never be a reason to stop. By making repair stations available to everyone, students and community members alike, we hope to inspire more people to choose cycling as their go-to, eco-friendly way of moving around the city.
Where to find them
The new bike repair stations are now open and ready to use, so whether you’re a student or part of the Iași community, we invite you to hop on your bike, stay active, and make the most of this new facility.
You can find their exact locations on the BIXFIX online map.
